Decided to get a last minute pedi and found this place on yelp. Honesty, I was a little skeptical because I just don't like going to new places that I haven't heard anything about. But, Ann ended up doing my pedicure and she was so GREAT!!!! I got exactly what I wanted!! I will definitely be back!!
Waipio Nails is my go to spot for a mani or pedi. Occasionally, I'll get my underarm waxed and it's awesome! They do get busy so I suggest calling ahead if you don't want to wait. I like the convenience of the salon and a lot of available parking.
Wanted to get my nails done and it was super last minute. Called their shop and they told me to come in since they could fit me in. When i got there, there were a lot of ladies getting pedicures. It is a small shop but it's very clean. I waited for maybe 10-15 minutes before i was seen. I was okay with that since i came with no appointment. Kim, was the one who greeted me as soon as i walked and she was the one to do my nails as well. She was very friendly and I asked for her suggestion on what kind of nails I'd like to get. She suggested powder and i was okay with that as long as i could do french tips. I'm very satisfied with my nails and the service. Will definitely see Kim again to get my next set!
Waipio Nails for me was the spot I just drove to and low key knew that I could just walk in and get it done. I very impulsively needed my long nails cut and gell taken off. I didn't want to wait to make an appointment anywhere and I didn't have to at Waipio Nails. The vibes are actually pretty chill. It's a small shop and not necessarily luxurious in any way, but seemingly clean and calm. Everyone while I was there seemed to talk in hushed tones. There's a few TV's playing food network (my favorite public/waiting room channel). I came in around 5pm and was seated immediately. I told the nail technician that I wanted my gell removed and my nails cut and it wasn't an issue at all. I'm not going to lie, there was a bit of pride when other nail techs came over saying that my natural nails looked like acrylic extensions. And then... the sigh of despair that came from my nail tech when she cut them off. I was charged an extra $10 for gel removal in addition to the base price of $17 for the manicure. $27 for gel removal and a quick manicure is pretty good! They don't let you tip on credit card, so be sure to bring cash for tip!
Went back to get my birthday nails done (10/28) and made sure to make an appointment with Kim again. Once again, not disappointed and in love with how they turned out. Went from my Halloween nails to birthday nails. Got a fill & kept the length but got almond shape instead. Brown tips & added letter stickers to my ring fingers. Total was $70 I believe. Love them! Will be back.
Remember in Legally Blonde when Elle Woods goes to the nail salon after a hard day? I now get why she goes there, it's a great de-stressing experience. Sometimes self care means pampering yourself! This was the first time I've ever done a mani and pedi and Waipio Nails made it a wonderful experience. I called in advanced to schedule an appointment because they get pretty busy. They are located in the Waipio shopping center on the Foodland side, next to Flora's. Their staff are all very nice, quick, and friendly! They have good social distancing and COVID safety measures in place, they have dividers at each station and try to social distance customers from each other depending on how busy they are. The massage chair is sooo comfortable and relaxing! It's a great touch to getting a pedicure and get all that muscle tension out, 2 for one benefit! The staff are very talented and I loved my manicure. Once I left the salon, all I could do was stare at my nails and obsessed about how gorgeous they were! Definitely will be back!
